The Grand Opening of Adiferous Wines and Liquors in Punta Gorda Belize.

The opening was after all considered a huge success. While Adiferous Wines and Liquors location was kind of off the beaten path of Punta Gorda the opening day we were packed. A few normal complaints about selection and prices. Overall it was a great Grand Opening for the Liquor Store in Punta Gorda.

About this time I had decided to sell the Liquor Box on the Island of San Pedro. Business interests in Honduras were more attractive for one the cost of Living in Belize continue to increase with out reason.

My issues as one can best describe them with my wife Jan’s health insurance or lack of from RF&G Insurance of Belize part of the Roe Group of Companies had landed me in a Supreme Court legal action. Headed by the honorable Godfrey Smith the past Attorney General of Belize. My attorney Fred Lumor of Belize was acting with great concern about this case. The entire case was now waiting for my US Attorney Robert P. Martin of Bailey and Wyant of West Virginia to file legal actions against Bupa Health Care of Miami Florida.

Vince and Cherie Chenot Rose were struggling with managing the Liquor Business in Punta Gorda. Cherie Rose kind of found this her own Liquor Store for hole use. This messed up accounting. I explained to Cherie Rose that we needed to keep things straight.

Cherie also felt the liquor store would run on its own while she was off looking for more funding for ACES / American Crocodile Education Sanctuary. This was the point that Robert P. Martin and the Roses engaged in the idea of forming a 501 (C) US non profit. The Roses had been using what was know as the Friends of Belize as a means to raise funds for the Crocodile Sanctuary.

Robert P. Martin established what is known as the BEED. Belize Education and Economic Development Fund a Delaware corp which for some reason we all were now partners in. So excited was Robert P. Martin about this idea he donated $20,000 US to ACES / American Crocodile Education Sanctuary through Friends of Belize to get the tax deduction to prove this worked.

I have now found that a 501 (C) cannot take a 10% fee as Friends of Belize had charged Robert P. Martin and ACES for such services.

Another story for the Croc Chronicles about ACES / American Crocodile Education Sanctuary the BEED. Belize Education and Economic Development Fund with Vince and Cherie Chenot Rose.
