San Pedro Sun Newspaper Publisher | For Tamara Sniffen

Tamara Sniffen, Publisher of the San Pedro Sun Newpaper, continues in her role as protector and public relations master for Vince and Cherie Rose, owners of ACES / American Crocodile Education Sanctuary of Belize.

Usually her actions involve fondly reporting on all the good things this American couple, soon to be in chats with the IRA over some messy tax issues, do at their croc preservation enterprise.  However, someone should tell Tamara that the sin of omission is just as serious as the sin of commission.

Curiously missing from the pages of this fine publication is the story of how ACES directors decided to dissolve their donor tax status, anchored in BEED/Belize Economic & Ecological Development Fund, effective January, 2013.

Cited on the ACES blog as reason for the dissolution of this non-profit corporation was the poor economy.  How in the world does that make any sense? Where is the record of the vote or decision-making process by which the directors came to this odd conclusion?

Why was James Jensen, a BEED Fund director, not consulted or notified?  What does this say about the Roses' respect for the rules of governance or any rules for that matter?  Are rules really for other people and not the Roses?

Questions abound for San Pedro Sun Newspaper Publisher Tamara Sniffen regarding her "bestest" friends Vince and Cherie Rose, owners of ACES/American Crocodile Education Sanctuary.

Here's today's top question:  Tamara, when are you going to report on the dissolution of BEED/the Belize Economic & Ecological Development Fund?

According to ACES blog, the organization's directors have decided to ditch the 501 c status that allowed ACES to offer partners a tax deductible means to make donations in support of the Sanctuary and its development needs.

James Jensen is an ACES director and was not consulted or included in this mysterious meeting of his colleagues.  Where are the minutes or record of the board's deliberations and decision?

Tamara, you report on every croc burp that comes out of ACES.  Why is your keen reporter's interest and dedication to responsible journalism letting you down?
