About Vince and Cherie Chenot Rose
Vincent has felony charges going back in California. Vince claims his construction company in Colorado Bear Construction did all of John Denver’s work even the pictures signed by John like you see in those NY restaurants covered the walls of Vince and Cherie’s home in Belize.
Cherie Rose is a Biologist, to give you a sense of her success in this carrier as a Biologist Cherie's last job prior to moving to Belize was that of a grade school teacher. It appears one can move to Belize in 2004, with all your life belongings in a 20 foot trailer hauled behind a dual wheel ford 1 ton and immediately handle crocodiles.
Out of 27 acres of jungle on the mouth of a river leading the Ocean these two built an amazing compound is the best way to describe it. They arrived in 2004 to a 3 mile haul down a mud road to the property. They say they lived in the one shed on the property for a year while they built another cabin.
When I first saw the property in 2008 the main house was finished a huge home, and two cabins were finished so when John Denver's family came down they had a place to stay.
Yes they had a croc preserve. Large ponds fed by the river fresh water with walkways and fences. Staying overnight was creepy. Howler moneys screamed all night and the croc wake at night to crunch and grind on cow pieces from the slaughter house.
How they funded all this was beyond me. Belize is not cheap to live in and to build anything. Hundreds of Thousands of dollars had gone into this acreage. It had gardens, roads built in, a lagoon, a boat house and yes a boat. The Roses were either trust babies or drug dealers they did not work. They eat out most of the time, Cherie is a drunk and a mean one.
In fact the Roses have a Civil action against the country of Belize claiming the Country failed to protect them. Reason the Croc compound was burnt to the ground by 300 pissed off Mayan's. They claim the building were worth $400,000 in the Civil Action complaint. All the property the Roses owns is for sale. The Croc compound was for sale prior to the fire for 1 Million Dollars.
When I was first introduced to the Rose's in San Pedro by the publisher of the San Pedro Sun Tamara Sniffin she raved about them. How they were coming up to San Pedro to Capture a bad Croc. I go and look at this show it was a show.
Vince and Cherie Rose are a great show they dress like Steve Erwin the Australian that died. Vince is tall, handsome, rugged what shows well. He dresses the part. Cherie takes the role of Steve Erwin's wife.
I watched both of them with Tamara and told here these two have watched to many YouTube videos about how to capture a Croc. They had boats, chickens on ropes, net traps setup it was the middle of the day. Croc are nocturnal hunters. That is how I met the Roses.
My wife Jan and had been developing a Coffee and Cacao Co-op in Punta Gorda soon after I met the Roses I made a trip to PG and met with them. Cherie had all these plans, build the Croc thing into a theme like park, form an NGO. Cherie reading about NGO's purchased a guide and went out to do the first thing any business should do write a business plan, two years later it was still draft form. From that meeting at there Croc compound I made decisions about doing business with the Roses.
I spent the weekend in PG and sought out some old friends, Cardinal Smith, that would be Sargent Smith. Cardinal was the top man in intelligence for Belize with Interpol till one night he was drunk and killed a person. Life sentence a Sargent in the middle of no place. The Rose's well they were different Smith told me outsiders not like us.
Before I left PG I told the Rose's lets start with the Liquor Store first and see how that goes. I would also talk to my US attorney about setting up an NGO or 501 (c) Cherie whom I had decided from our conversation new little about business in a high level as she explained to me they are already an NGO through American Friends of Belize. Belize believed the Rose's on the Belize Forestry Department Web site they were listed as a resource authorized by the Belize Government to capture Crocs.
I met with the Roses in early August of 2008 with some legal papers describing the Liquor business and each partners responsibility. Both agreed and I wire $10,000 BZ to the Rose's Bank Account in Punta Gorda to start renovations on the building the Rose's owned which was to be the home of the new Liquor business Adiferous Wines and Liquors.
On one of my trips prior to the opening I was to help Vince Install Windows at the new business as part of the renovations. Cherie was gone to North Carolina she was the executor for her rich aunts Estate. This claimed once carpenter now Croc capture guy new little about building. The windows came no fit you know you have to add for the casing around the window?
Cherie Chenot Rose was on the phone from the US constantly checking on Vince. Vince as always stops at this bar on the way to the Croc place. There he told me after many beers that Cherie was in the states to get some money from her Aunts trust to build another Croc pen. That has been there source of money to build and live. Taxes oh Vince said we are off the grid now and no one knows where we are or what we are doing. OH.
Adiferous Wines and Liquors opened without to much of a hitch. Cardinal Smith got me the Liquor License in my name. The store opened with a crowd of people and the business looked promising. Cherie Rose was not good with accounting as I found out and in time I had to put one of the girls in PG from my Liqour business in San Pedro. That helped.
Now Robert Martin my attorney from the US thought this NGO ideas was great. He knew all these rich people and his girlfriend being a professional fund raiser what a great team. Some of this idea made sense just the Roses' were the issue. Vince had no interest in Business and Cherie was having a melt down every time we had to do inventory.
I agreed to the NGO after many houses of debate. With the right terms I would do it and I had Robert Martin draw up an agreement in which the partners would own shares in Belize Corp I owned as a shell. That way if anything went wrong I could dump them all. They signed and agreed.
Robert Martin was worried about the 501 (c) 3 for some reason and decided since the Rose's have been using Friend of Belize we needed to do a test. The test had to be greater then $10,000 was Martin's thinking that the IRS only tracks transactions over 10K. If this worked then he was all for this. Bob and Penny Martin's girlfriend contacted Dr. Diana Sturm and made arrangements for the Tax free transaction. 20K it worked.
Robert Martin goes ahead forms the Delaware Corp., Gets the Tax write off in his name from Diana Sturm. Which I find out months later when Tax time was coming around for 2008. And everyone waits for Bob and his Girlfriend to find donors or that is what I was told. Money had been flowing in. I find this out from Wil Maheia a friend of mine in Punta Gorda that had used Diana Sturm for his real NGO. Wil told me the Rose's are at the bar every night talking about the donations and there plans.
While tax time was on my mind also was my case with Belize Health Partners for my wife Jan's health care or lack of coverage. Robert Martin told me this is all under control. We have Bill Thompson in Florida filing the Civil Case against the Health Insurance provider Bupa in Miami. Belize Supreme Court agreed they would wait till the results of the US case.
Bob and Penny get into a land deal with the Rose's and are short money 125K short. Which they expected me to loan them. I go to my Attorneys in Belize to get advise. For the next month both Law firms dealt with or tried to deal with Martin and the Rose's. At risk for me $40,000 US lets say in real cash.
I can take that hit. I did not expect to find out that all the claimed work on Jan's case in the US for the last year was non existent. Martin wrote letters I went to hearings with the Belize Supreme Court. All the letters I submitted that made claim of this case in the US filed by an Attorney named Bill Thompson of Miami under the direction of Robert Martin and the firm of Bailey and Wyant were false did not exist, nothing had been filed.
During this time Vince sent me an e-mail claiming he was going to blackmail me, me for what. His terms were to never come to Adiferous again. Vince was stupid I owned part of Royal Wholesale, the supplier of all Liquor. I shut of the supply. Vince and Cherie Rose then reported that Adiferous had been robbed. Cardinal Smith did not believe it. Yet Cherie collected from the Insurance company.
I mentioned earlier that Martin his girlfriend and the Rose's were to sign an agreement for shares in my Belize Corp which was to own the NGO or 502 (c) 3. Well that was 50K the four of them had to come up with. 20K of it was the donation through friends of Belize which the Roses turned around and sent back to Martin. My 20K.
