My name is James Fredrick Jensen
I am a Canadian that lived in Belize on the Island of San Pedro, this is the sixth chapter of my Novella about the time that past after my Wife Janis Died in Central America.
The time had come with the events of Loosing my Legal Battle over Jan’s Health Insurance, Vince Rose e-mail about our liquor business in Punta Gorda the relationship was over. The Roses wrote a lot on-line about how I Jim Jensen stole from them. As the documents attached to these various articles indicate I did invest in the Liquor business with the Roses in Punta Gorda.
I left for a few months to Honduras.
After a few month in Honduras I returned to Belize to close out my life in Belize. I should never had returned. I was met with another legal action this time from the young couple I had been in business with in Punta Gorda with the Liquor Busines. They claimed I owed them money for all the time I stayed at their resort in Punta Gorda that was the claim that I was a guest and never paid my bill. Okay I am out $37,000 on the inventory I supplied for the Liquor Store and now they wanted me to pay for all the time I stayed at their resort and the time I worked to help them.
The next event shocked me. My Attorney from West Virginia had me thrown into the third worse prison in Central America a hell hole called Hattieville Central Prison in Belize. He claimed he sent me money to purchase land for him. The records on the wire transfer in question clearly stated that the purpose of this transfer of funds was not for the purchase of land. It was for the purchase of shares in my Caricom Corp. J squared caribbean trader.
I spent weeks in Hattieville Central Prison in Belize, never charged just me and 176 Crip’s and Bloods in one disgusting cell block. When I was picked up and first held in San Pedro Jail everyone was shocked. The first day I get a phone call from the Attorney that represented the hospital in the law suit against me. Godfrey Smith offered me a deal for my freedom. Money to him for my US attorney. No, I said.
This was well planned including a woman who owns a Newspaper in San Pedro. I was arrested on a Tuesday, her paper is weekly and was already at the printer. Some how I was the lead story for that weeks addition. She is close friends with the young couple from Punta Gorda.
The Belize media had a field day with me. I made every news channel and newspaper in Belize. And yes headlines on this woman’s newspaper in Belize. Her story line made the events between my accusers as a nice American Couple Swindled by me Jim Jensen. Funny how none of the rest of the facts have ever come out.
While I was in Hattieville Central Prison in Belize my attorney in the US filed an action against me claiming I was involved with money laundering. My Belize bank accounts were frozen. What appeared to those that put me in this place was that I had no money and soon I would either spend the rest of my life in Hattieville Central Prison in Belize or agree to there offer.
Fortunately I had many friends in San Pedro that supported me. With their help each day a woman came to the Hattieville Central Prison in Belize and gave me money and food. You need money in Hattieville Central Prison. You can bribe the guards, get booze and lots of drugs. I had money moved around from Honduras to this woman in Belize. $30,000 US later I have my life inside Hattieville Central Prison with Cell phones and documents going back and forth every day. Had a so so attorney representing me. A fool at best.
Finally I was granted bail. The supreme court justice that granted me bail found that no evidence existed to support the charges against me. This was a media event for Belize. Sadly with the judges ruling I became old news and not much was reported about me after that. After the Judges ruling he called me to his office handed me my passport in his chambers telling me leave. The reason he said, hell I would have left after the Judgement for Jan’s medical bills.
