I am a Canadian that lived in Belize on the Island of San Pedro, this is another chapter of my Novella about the time that past after my Wife Janis Died.

After Jan’s death many came and wanted to buy our business, little did they understand what we had built in those years in Belize. Janis was a driven women and we expanded our interests in other Countries. We saw Belize as only a stepping stone not a place to live out our lives. The Island of San Pedro in Belize is kind of a place of a lot of gossip and talk about everyone. Jan and I seldom left our time for that.

Within weeks of Janis death I was suited by the hospital that treated Jan. The ex pat health insurance we had purchased from a company in Florida called Bupa did not cover any of Jan’s $265,000 in medical bills. I was left to fight the case on my own. I hired an Attorney in Belize and other countries to help me with this battle.

Janis and I had a trusted Attorney in the US, big firm represented the Governor of West Virginia. Robert P Martin. I found myself lost without Jan and her always clear support and direction. I asked our Attorney for help which he offered without question. I felt at ease in a time of confusion.

I met a young couple from Punta Gorda Belize shortly after Jan died. I visited their resort many times in the first few months after Jan died. I needed a place away from the every day question “how are you doing” I found silence in Punta Gorda Belize.

The young couple soon had me engaged in helping them with their resort business and other ideas led to the thought of opening a Liquor Store in Punta Gorda, they owned a building and I was already in the Liquor Business on the Island of San Pedro in Belize. With my money we opened a Liquor Store in Punta Gorda Called Adiferous Wine and Liquors. 

My US attorney owned a small resort on the Island of San Pedro and he met the young couple from Punta Gorda on one of his many trips to Belize. They formed an NGO which I was a share holder in.

Life began to have for me some new purpose, never did I think in my wildest dreams that the three of them at this time would be the ones that are hunting me and have placed a bounty on my life.
