I now pickup my life in Honduras now alone after my wife Jan’s death. The events of the last two years in Belize and Honduras has left me drained by the ongoing legal battled over my wife Jan’s medical Bills.

I met a Danish woman, a journalist covering Human Trafficking in central America.

Before I moved back home to Canada to live out my life I helped Vivian Trill expose the Human Trafficking effect of Belize. Sexual Tourism we have called it. To the point our Campaign forced the Minister of Tourism from Belize to contact Vivian. Minister of Tourism from Belize simply stated that this was a case of prostitution not Human Trafficking.

I look back now on my relationship and one time friendship with The San Pedro Sun and the publisher Tamara Sniffen and her husband Ron. When Jan died The San Pedro Sun placed articles and were supportive as well as Tamara Sniffen were devastated by the loss of Jan as many were on the Island of San Pedro.

The San Pedro Sun placed notices of Jan’s death in the Ambergris Caye’s best News Source. A weekly tourism and community oriented newspaper providing local news, stories, and reports on whats happening in San Pedro Belize. Tamara Sniffen did readings at Jan’s service on the beach. Which the San Pedro Sun helped organize.

A year Later the San Pedro Sun lead story was my arrest and being sent to Hattieville Central Prison. I found it hard to believe that the content that the San Pedro sun used in articles about my past were never verified. The reporting of the San Pedro Sun portrayed me James Jensen as a Canadian Swindler. When in fact I had lived my life in the US. Most of the content of the stories were from placed information by Robert P. Martin and (ACES).

Robert P. Martin was my attorney however the story offered from the San Pedro Sun did not explain my long standing relationship with Martin. Instead the story made it sound like I james Jensen Swindled an American Couple. Other headlines from the San Pedro Sun included James Jensen what a mess.

When I was freed from Hattieville Central Prison in Belize

the Island of San Pedro was shocked and supportive of my return to the Island of San Pedro in Belize. None more so then Tamara Sniffen of the San Pedro Sun. All felt they had used the media to such great effect leading off with the San Pedro Sun article of my arrest I would never be freed from Hattieville Central Prison.

When I left Belize for Honduras the San Pedro Sun played a role in making and distributing a wanted poster for me James Jensen. The San Pedro Sun also posted in the newspapers web site blog an attempt to have me taken and returned from Honduras to Belize.

What the San Pedro Sun did not report was how RF&G Insurance failed to provide health care coverage for my wife Janis from a Policy Jan and I purchased from RF&G Insurance. Why Not? RF&G is owned by The Roe Group of Companies which in turn own a number of resorts on the island of San Pedro. The SunBreeze Hotel is one of the biggest on the Island of San Pedro. The San Pedro Sun Newspaper relies on advertising to publish and most if not all of the advertising dollars that support the San Pedro Sun comes from Tourism.
