After meeting the Roses on this crocodile hunt they were on the Island of San Pedro I was invited to come to Punta Gorda and see there resort and to explore the idea of opening a Liquor store in Punta Gorda with the Roses as partners.
Back now to the Island of San Pedro I flew on Tropic Air out of Punta Gorda and left Vince and Cherie Rose with a list we needed to use to prepare for the building of Adiferous Wines and Liquors in Punta Gorda. I had some anxious times during the flight. Going home to an empty house without Jan and still dealing with problems with the health insurance company while Jan was treated at the hospital.Back on the Island of San Pedro life was as it always was. Gringo’s hanging out at Gringo Bars. The Liquor Box was as always backed and busy. Home to our little house that Jan and I shared on a Lagoon on the Island of San Pedro. In talking with our US Attorney Robert P. Martin he needed to fly down and meet with the Roe Group attorney as Bob was making no headway with Bupa Health Care in Miami. Bob flew down for what turned out to be the Roe Group Attorney saying we are only an agent for Bupa Health Care and you need to deal with Bupa. Bob and I talked about the Punta Gorda Liquor Store Idea over diner and he felt the risk was low and if I owned the inventory all I would be out is the money spend to finish the building the Roses owned in Punta Gorda. Bob Martin flew back knowing I was going to sooner or later find myself being taken to court in Belize by Belize Health Partners the hospital in Belize City that treated Jan. The next day I called Cherie Rose in Punta Gorda and made arrangements to wire transfer $10,000 belize to her Punta Gorda bank to start our new found Liquor business. That same day I met with Tamara Sniffen the published of the San Pedro Sun to bring her up to speed on the trip and what was happening with Jan’s health insurance. Our meeting always Included a few drinks at a beach bar right across from the San Pedro Sun Newspaper.Tamara was excited about the idea of another Liquor Store. I think she felt that this was good for me to keep going. After Jan’s death all the bottom feeders came out wanting to buy the Liquor Box for next to nothing. I think Tamara felt my rejections of these offers and the plant to go forward with the Punta Gorda Liquor Business meant I was staying in Belize. We had a manger of the Liquor Box that I hired after Jan’s death, Rebecca. She was a Gringo that decided to cash in her New York Life style and apply her math skills to the Island of San Pedro. We met that evening and also talked about PG and a Liquor store. Rebecca had become protective of me after Jan’s death. we often found our night filled we e-mailing each other till the late hours. Seemed strange we only lived two miles away. Now a few weeks have passed nothing new on the health insurance for Jan and it was time for me to head down to Punta Gorda to see how the Roses were doing on the building and to see Sargent Smith about our pending Liquor Store Application in Punta Gorda. Vince and Cherie Rose felt that the license would not be a problem. Off to Punta Gorda on Tropic Air to enjoy a few more nights at the ACES / American Crocodile Education Sanctuary. My name is James Fredrick Jensen I am a Canadian that lived in Belize on the Island of San Pedro, this is another chapter of my Novella about the time that past after my Wife Janis Died in Central America.
This is another chapter of the series called “About Vince and Cherie Chenot Rose”. Vince and Cherie Chenot Rose lived in Punta Gorda Belize a small town on the southern tip of Belize. The Rose’s owned a small resort and Crocodile Sanctuary named ACES / American Crocodile Education Sanctuary.
