Mob Torches ACES - Crocodile Sanctuary - Punta Gorda Belize

Belize mob torches Crocodile Sanctuary

This is another chapter of the series called “About Vince and Cherie Chenot Rose”. The burning of ACES. Belize mob torches Crocodile Sanctuary. Vince and Cherie Chenot Rose lived in Punta Gorda Belize a small town on the southern tip of Belize. The Rose’s owned a small resort and Crocodile Sanctuary named  ACES / American Crocodile Education Sanctuary.

My name is James Fredrick Jensen I am a Canadian that lived in Belize on the Island of San Pedro, this is another chapter of my Novella about the time that past after my Wife Janis Died in Belize.

Vince Rose said he and his wife, a biologist, started ACES shortly after they moved to Belize in 2004

According to Vince Rose “When we moved there and saw the devastation of all the endangered species being hunted and killed without any proper permit, we decided we needed to do something,” he said.

The couple got along well with the natives, Vincent Rose noted. If Vince Rose got along with the natives why did this happen? From my history with Vince and Cherie Chenot Rose strange events always happened when the Roses were gone from the Crocodile Sanctuary. Why were there not security or someone taking care of the Crocodiles while the Roses were out on these Crocodile Hunts.

Vince Rose noted that he plans to take legal action. Vince and Cherie Chenot Rose did and have taken legal actions as they stated.

“I'm going to get a lawyer and sue the Mayan village that's responsible for destroying our lives and our not-for-profit crocodile sanctuary,” he said.

The last twenty-three months have been traumatic and heartbreaking for the Roses who are permitted by the Belize Forest Department to research, rescue, contain and relocate problematic or ill crocodiles in Belize. However, on Friday, August 17, 2012 the Supreme Court of Belize handed down a decision that now gives the couple a new faith in a justice system that many have grown to doubt.

The couple doesn't plan to leave Belize, either. Strange before the Roses Claim they are not leaving Belize. The Roses had the resort for sale on a number of web sites.

“We're not going to get bullied out of town by a group of uncivilized people,” he said. “There's still law that exists in all countries, and we're just not going to give up on what we've built and created. We're going to go to a different part of the country where there's more support and it's a safe area.”

Neither the house nor sanctuary were insured. Now on an interview with CNN yes this story made headlines around the world including CNN story which headlined with “Belize mob torches Americans' animal sanctuary, but their will endures”.

Now in this story and video one can see Vince Rose rage about the events who could blame him for being upset.

The part of the story that get me is Rose stated in the media that they were now homeless. and were quick to invoke the BEED Fund as a place to make donations. Vince and Cherie Rose were hardly homeless they owned a very nice other home on the ISland of San Pedro in Belize.

Accounts have been set up to help the Rose couple and the sanctuary. One, set up by the Belize Economic & Ecological Development Fund. Nothing was ever talked about to support the families of the missing children.

National police confirm that the indigenous Maya villagers were acting on the advice of a psychic who said the Roses had something to do with the August 7 disappearance of 11-year-old Benjamin Rash and his 9-year-old sister Onelia.

Sadly little attention was place on the two missing children that started this Mob in Punta Gorda that did burn down the  American Crocodile Education Sanctuary. I did not see the Roses outpouring for the family of the children that have never been found.

Another story for the Croc Chronicles about ACES / American Crocodile Education Sanctuary the BEED. Belize Education and Economic Development Fund with Vince and Cherie Chenot Rose.
